wine in a can

A little while ago I wrote about the fantastic packaging design of French Rabbit (“Squared for Space, 06/17/08), the wine company that’s using tetra prisma packaging that rivals glass bottles. Another company is hopping on the non-traditional packaging bandwagon with their aluminum can packaged wine.
Wine in a can was conceived by Swedish designers, Jen Anderson and Jonas Forsman, who had the vision of serving up single servings of wine that are shaped similar to a full size bottle (think the neck). The mouth opening is also wider and I’m assuming it’s to allow for the wine to breath easier once the can is open.
