Nike Europe is launching their new service, PhotoID. The new Nike Photoid allows you to snap pictures with your cell phone and then send it as a text to Nike. The systems over at Nike’s computers then synthesize the two dominant colors and then send you back an image of a 1985 Dunk high-top basketball sneaker, with the same two dominant colors mapped on. Pretty awesome. The idea is to go searching for color combos in your immediate environment – allowing you to create shoes based on your favorite photos. What’s even cooler is that Nike then gives you the option to purchase the shoes so you can kick it with your sneaks.
